A "striking number" of industry player are eyeing "diversification strategies" this year, according to a survey from technical advisor group DNV GL, which revealed that around 40% of responders are” likely” to shift from oil and gas.
Research, based on responses from 723 senior oil and gas professionals revealed that the industry "is in a period of significant change".
The classification society’s survey found that half (49%) of respondents said their organisation is "likely to diversify into (or invest more in) opportunities outside of oil and gas in 2017".
