The offshoot of China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) is flowing gas from two wells at the three-gas-field Panyu 34-1/35-1/35-2 project.
The fields are now jointly producing 21 million cubic feet per day of gas, with an expected peak of 150 MMcfd – from a total of 13 production wells – set to be reached next year.
The Panyu project, which sits in waters of between 195 and 338 metres depth, consists of one platform and two subsea production units.
