Contractor Patterson-UTI has been hired by Freedom Oil & Gas to drill a pair of wells in the Eagle Ford shale of Texas.
A Patterson-UTI rig is currently drilling about 50 miles from Freedom’s Dimmit County position and is expected reach the first drilling location in April.
A value for the contract was not disclosed.
Freedom holds a 100% working interest in 7700 contiguous acres in Dimmit County, with more than 300 offset wells surrounding the property.
