The duo said on Wednesday that the new work programme will form part of the ongoing negotiations regarding the terms of acquiring an exploration licence for the Tano basin acreage.

The Ghanaian government offered the acreage to Pan Andean Resources, in which Clontarf holds 60%, Petrel holds 30% and Abbey Oil & Gas holds 10%.

The partners accepted the offer in principle, but have not disclosed any details about the acreage as they continue negotiations for a formalised revised production agreement.
