Petrel has recently completed its initial work programme in option 11/4, which covers Blocks 35/23, 35/24 and the western half of 35/25, in the northern section of the basin and option 11/6, which covers Blocks 45/6, 45/11 and 45/16 in the east of the basin.
It noted that a “significant” Lower Cretaceous prospect had been mapped in Blocks 45/11 and 45/16, with a closed area of 27 square kilometres.
