The partnership also represents a breakthrough for a new business unit known as Embraer Systems, created to apply technologies, practices and knowledge to other industries, the companies said.
The duo has already begun collaborating though workshops but the venture still depends on a formal contract between the parties.
“Bringing together two Brazilian companies recognised for their world-class technological expertise has all the chances of achieving new accomplishments,” said Rudimar Lorenzatto, executive manager of offshore well construction with Petrobras.
