Marine services player Ardent has completed removal of a maintenance platform in Mexico’s Bay of Campeche where two workers were killed in an accident last year.
Houston-based Ardent finished removing the jack-up Troll Solution from the seabed in November. At 7000 tonnes, it is the largest wreck removal project in 2016, Ardent said.
The platform was due to begin maintenance work for Mexican state player Pemex on the Caan Alf facility in the shallow-water Abkatun-Pol-Chuc oilfield when the accident happened.
