Drilling of the Balder–1 30N horizontal well, in the state’s Kay County, started over the weekend, AusTex Oil told the Australian Securities Exchange.
Drilling is located on a 320 acre spacing and is expected to take 21 days to reach a full depth of 9600 feet, the company said.
Range Production company holds a 87.75% operating stake in the well, which is located west of the Mississippi Lime producing wells recently completed by AusTex.
