The Spanish explorer will use semi-submersible Transocean Barentsto drill the 7218/11-1 probe in its operated production licence 531, about 80 kilometres south-west of Statoil’s breakthrough Skrugard find.

Drilling is expected to start once the semisub has completed drilling for Maersk Oil at the Albert prospect in the Norwegian Sea that kicked off in early December and was expected to take 53 days.
