Argentina expropriated 51% of YPF owned by Repsol, saying that the company needed to invest more to address the South American country's energy shortage.
Repsol has said it had consistently raised investment at YPF and analysts said Argentina's price controls on oil and gas were the reason companies had not invested more in production.
