Company documents, seen by Interfax, show that it will need over $1 billion dollars to develop the field and achieve target production of 6 billion cubic metres per year. Firtash owns 45% of RosUkrEnergo, while Russian gas monopoly Gazprom owns 50%. The remaining 5% is held by Ivan Fursin.
RosUkrEnergo at Astrakhan helm
RosUkrEnergo, which was appointed at the start of this year to manage Russian gas exports to Ukraine, has taken control of the Astrakhan gas condensate field, according to Russian media reports.
