Union representatives in Eni and senior safety officials on the Goliat platform have urged management to shut in production in order to iron out teething problems and complete outstanding commissioning work on the cylindrical floater, which came on line in March.
“This has been suggested both by union representatives and by senior safety representatives in different forms and forums, and to different levels of management in the company,” a union representative told Upstream.
