Joint venture partner Beach Energy revealed in its monthly drilling report on Wednesday drilling of the Dunadoo-1 started on 25 May and was currently at a depth of 2391 metres in the Nappamerri group.
The well is targeting sands within the Toolachee formation, with the Patchawarra formation a secondary target.
Dunadoo-1 is the first of three wells being drilled by Santos and its partners to appraise field limits, convert existing contingent resources into reserves for future development, and collect sufficient information to form a development plan for the Coolah field.
