The company said on Wednesday that the 11,000 kilometres Hahonua 2D Seismic Survey, in partnership with BGP, will increase its total seismic data library in the region to over 70,000 kilometres.

In addition, Searcher and Gardline have initiated a multi-beam and coring survey, the Davaria geochemical survey, covering the entire Gulf of Papua to identify and analyse hydrocarbon seeps.

“Papua New Guinea continues to be an area of high interest for our clients and these two new projects, when combined with our existing coverage, will provide a unique and comprehensive exploration tool for the entire offshore Gulf of Papua”, Searcher’s global sales manager Rachel Masters said.
