The company said on Tuesday it had signed a deal with Middle Eastern jack-up player Shelf Drilling to contract the Key Gibraltar for development, appraisal and exploration drilling in the G10/48 and G6/48 concessions.
The contract will begin in January 2015 and run for a firm six-month term with an option to extend for an additional two months.
The rig is expected to drill 12 to 14 development wells in the Wassana oilfield in G10/48, as well as several exploration wells in the contract area.
