As previously reported in Upstream the pair snared the deal, which covers the engineering and construction of a central processing platform, a wellhead platform, plus a 16 inch diameter by three kilometre export subsea gas pipeline, from project operator Premier Oil.
SMOE’s portion of the contract, worth about S$230 million (US$158 million), entails part procurement, construction engineering, construction, hook-up and commissioning of the two platforms, while Saipem’s scope of work covers engineering design, procurement, transportation and installation of the platforms and the subsea pipeline.
