The installation of Tahiti’s truss spar was delayed this past June when testing revealed a metallurgical problem with the mooring shackles that will attach the platform to the massive lines that will secure it to the seafloor.
Tahiti is located in Green Canyon blocks 640 and 641, about 190 miles south of New Orleans and in more than 4000 feet of water.
