Production at Volve will now be gradually increased with the field estimated to reach peak production of 50,000 barrels per day by the end of the first quarter next year.
The extractable reserves are estimated at 78.6 million barrels of oil and 1.5 billion cubic meters of gas.
The oil is produced by the world's biggest jack-up platform, the Maersk Inspirer, and the vessel Navion Saga is used for storing the oil prior to further transport.
