TGS said the Russian unit would market 2D seismic data and well log information to clients in Russia. The new company would also work to generate new geoscientific data to drive further exploration in the country, it said.
Naersnes-based TGS said it already had access to over 130,000 kilometres of seismic data and 16 geologic studies available to licence to clients.
