Transneft's previous long-serving chief Semyon Vainshtok resigned last month after being moved by President Vladimir Putin to the state olympic corporation, which will do all construction work in Sochi, the Black Sea resort city to host the games in 2014.
Tokarev 'in line for Transneft job'
Russia's Economy Ministry is set to put forward Nikolai Tokarev, the head of state overseas oil vehicle Zarubezhneft, as the new head of the country's pipeline monopoly Transneft, local media reports have claimed.
