Tokyo Gas gets first Gorgon LNG

The shipment reached the Tokyo Gas Ohgishima LNG terminal in Yokohama City, in the Kanagawa Prefecture with approximately 70,000 tons of LNG, which is enough to meet the annual needs of some 220,000 average households in Tokyo.

The delivery follows a 2009 LNG sale and purchase agreement signed with Chevron, Gorgon’s operator.

This is the fourth delivery of LNG from projects in which Tokyo Gas has secured participation rights following on the Darwin LNG project, the Pluto LNG project and the Queensland Curtis LNG project.
