The French supermajor was expected to begin flows at the Laggan-Tormore development in the West of Shetland area before the end of the year.
However, Danish partner Dong Energy said in its first-half result announcement on Wednesday that it is the company’s “expectation that production start-up from the field will be postponed from end of 2014 to 2015”.
Dong said the operator, Total, is “currently reviewing delays in the construction of the gas treatment plant in the Shetland Islands” associated with the development 125 kilometres north-west of the Shetland Islands.
