The company said in a statement on Tuesday it had accepted the resignation of Gary Mize, and had appointed Mustafa Yavuz to replace him as chief operating officer.
Yavuz joined TransAtlantic last summer when the explorer completed its acquisition of Turkish company Thrace Basin Natural Gas Corporation (TBNG), and has 25 years’ industry experience.
TransAtlantic ended 2011 with a seven-day average net production rate of 5651 net barrels of oil equivalent per day, having targeted 7000 to 7500 barrels per day.
