Located in UKCS block 14/18b, licence P.1293, in the Outer Moray Firth area of the central North Sea, the Athena oilfield is to be developed by operator Ithaca Energy, which holds a 22.5% stake in the block.
The block will be developed via four existing production wells and a water injection well tied to stand-alone floating production storage and offloading vessel the BW Athena, Trapoil said in an announcement.
