The Prof John Evans Atta Mills has made it to the field after a five-week journey from the Tuas shipyard in Singapore, project operator Tullow wrote in a tweet on Thursday.
“First oil on track for July/August,” the London-listed Anglo-Irish independent tweeted.
The unit left the shipyard in late January, heading west across the Indian Ocean, rounding the southern tip of Africa before sailing up to Ghanaian waters.
