Petrofac revealed Monday two pipe racks fabricated by Gulf Piping had set sail from a yard in Mussafah, south-west of Abu Dhabi.
It added the modules represented a combined weight of more than 800 tonnes, with the largest module measuring roughly 60 metres long.
Petrofac and Daewoo were awarded the Upper Zakum contract in 2013 which covers engineering, procurement, construction transportation and commissioning of island surface facilities on four artificial islands about 80 kilometres off the coast of Abu Dhabi.
