US saw a total rig count last month 481, compared to 449 counted in July. July also saw a 32 units increase on June. However the numbers were down 402 from the 883 counted in August 2015.
Of these 481, 464 were onshore – a rise of 35 from July – while the offshore count was 17 – down three units month-on-month.
