The unit is set to be demobilised in August following shutdown of the loss-making Varg field off Norway by operator Repsol last month, making the FPSO available for work at other fields.
The use of an FPSO is among three development options being considered by VNG, alongside potential subsea tiebacks to either the Njord A or Draugen platforms, with a final concept decision due this autumn.
