In an announcement to the Bombay Stock Exchange, Welspun said it had won orders for 162 kilometre-tonnes of pipes and 39 kmt of plates in a new order, without naming the client involved.
This brought total orders to 876 kmt of pipes and 92 kmt of external plates – though this included the orders being executed during the current quarter.
Welspun chairman B K Goenka said the new order was proof of the company’s technical strength.
