The rig damaged internal leg bracings on 16 October while loading down at the site. The rig was then moved to shallower waters to allow repairs.
The West Triton has been hired by Beach to sink three back to back exploration wells in the Bass Strait, two oil and one gas.
Beach is operating the Peejay-1 well, on the T/39P permit, with a 50% stake on behalf of partner Benaris Petroleum.
