The German company currently has a sizeable presence in Argentina’s prolific Neuquen province and is drilling offshore with French supermajor Total and BP-controlled Pan American Energy.

“Our plans in Argentina are not changed by the current market,” new chief executive Mario Mehren said at the World Gas Conference (WGC) 2015 in Paris on Tuesday.

The company invested around €200 million ($222 million today) in the country in 2013, rising to €240 million last year.
