Under the three-year deal, Wood Group received the first project work authorisation under a recently signed multiuse agreement with Suncor, for work to be completed at the site approximately 120 kilometres north-east of Fort McMurray.
The work will see Wood Group use its standard well pad design, which it developed in response to growing concerns about escalating cost for in-situ heavy oil facilities.
