Yergin, vice chairman at IHS and founder of IHS Cambridge Energy Research Associates, said demand is now the constraint in the industry, rather than supply.
“The US was destined to be an importer but things have really turned around,” with the country playing a role as a natural gas exporter, he said.
“The debate is how big of a role and how soon, and how much.”
