Stavanger-based Ziebel will provide distributed fiber optic intervention services for the oil company at some continental US wells beginning in the first quarter.
Ziebel will use its trailer-mounted Z-System to access and visualise wellbores in real-time, focusing on ConocoPhillips’ horizontal wells on shale plays.
The US company will then compare the information gathered with other data previously collated from North Sea wells.
