US player Dominion Energy has agreed to transfer a 25% non-controlling equity interest in the Cove Point liquefied natural gas facility to Brookfield Asset Management in exchange for more than $2 billion in cash consideration.
The deal is part of the company’s aim to "establish a permanent capital structure" for the terminal in Maryland, Dominion said.
