Dutch vessel owner Royal Boskalis is taking two dozen vessels out of service in the next two years, with the offshore energy fleet bearing the brunt of the cuts amid a continued market slump.
About 650 mostly crew positions are to go after the company took what it acknowledged were “drastic” measures to rationalise its fleet, as contracts have dried up and the oil price remains low.
