Production from this entire half of Norway's $4.5 billion flagship project was brought to an abrupt halt in mid-August when a second weld failure was discovered in the network of subsea pipelines linked to the platform.
The weld problems on Aasgard first reared up in January with discovery of a leak at a pipe-end hub on a link between B and the Smorbukk reservoir.
