Exact details of the extension are still being discussed between the operator and the authorities but Medco is hoping to invite bids before the end of the year for the engineering, procurement, install­ation and construction contract for exploitation of the Alur Siwah, Alur Rambong and Julu Rayeu gas fields.

Contract award is targeted as early as the first ­quarter of next year.
