BP is understood to have been successful with drilling on the high-impact Achmelvich exploration well in the UK West of Shetland area.
Industry sources indicated that BP is expected to announce “positive” results from the 206/09b-5 well in the near future.
BP said this week that evaluation and interpretation of the well results was ongoing.
According to public drilling data, the probe spudded on 23 September.
