Colombia is on track to award 10 or 11 exploration and production contracts within the next week to six companies and one consortium that have each won at least one block in the country’s first oil and gas bid round in five years, writes Julia Martinez.
In a counteroffer round on 26 June, only one additional block, VIM-22 in the lower Magdalena Valley basin, received a bid from Canada's Frontera Energy.
