Activity has already started on areas awarded in Mexico’s Round 3.1, the country's third bid offering for shallow-water tracts, writes Kathrine Schmidt.
That 2018 round awarded 16 of 35 blocks on offer, but bidders only made well commitments on six of those blocks, for a total of nine probes.
Many operators only pledged seismic work but could propose a well later.
