Vanco Querio, the company's Nigeria boss, said the Okwok discovery just south of Addax-operated OML 123, could be developed with subsea wells or using an FPSO.
He said engineering is currently being carried out on an early production system that would involve a two-to-three well subsea tie-back to the Mimbo complex in OML 123.
FPSO options are also on the cards for Okwok, on which an appraisal well is due to be spudded next year.
