The collapse of Tullow Oil’s deal to sell down its stake in the planned Lake Albert project in Uganda comes soon after the company significantly pushed back expected sanction of its Kenya oilfield development, putting its exploration efforts off Guyana more firmly in the limelight, writes Eoin O’Cinneide.
Until late July, Tullow remained hopeful of taking a final investment decision on its South Lokichar development in Kenya by the end of this year, before pushing that out to the second half of next year.
