These are just some of the findings of a draft environmental impact assessment (EIA) covering Anadarko Petroleum and Eni’s $25 billion to $30 billion Mozambique LNG project in the north of the country, on which the public have been given only one month — until 27 September — to submit their comments.

Much of the work that underpins the findings of the draft EIA was concerned with establishing baseline data for the region’s marine, coastal and onshore environments because so little reliable information was available.

Based
