Earlier this month, the Noble Drilling jack-up Don Walker re-entered Ajapa-1, the first of two back-to-back development wells.
Energy Equity Resources (EER) acquired a 40% working interest in Ajapa as technical partner or“contract operator”through its 2006 acquisition of Syntroleum Nigeria. Britannia-U holds the rest.
Two additional wells are planned, allowing for two producers and two water-injectors that will support an anticipated output of 9000 barrels per day by the first quarter of 2009, ramping up to 12,000 bpd if four more wells are drilled next year.
