Norwegian contractors Aker Solutions and Aibel are set to face off in a retender from German operator DEA covering the crucial front-end engineering and design contract for its Nkr10 billion ($1.2 billion) Zidane subsea development off Norway.
DEA, a unit of Russian billionaire Mikhail Fridman’s LetterOne company, is planning a return to the market before the potential resolution of a year-long dispute between the Zidane and Heidrun licence partners over the cost of processing Zidane’s output.
