Aker Solutions is to cut about almost 100 jobs in Aberdeen.
While the contractor did not say how many jobs are going, the Unite trades union claimed about 95 positions were being axed.
John Boland, Unite regional industrial officer, said he was “angry and dismayed”.
“The announcement... is a massive blow. This is completely out the blue and Unite was given no prior warning that this was on the horizon,” he said.
