The battle to provide a major new floating production, storage and offloading vessel for Aker Energy’s Greater Pecan project off Ghana is coming to the boil with commercial offers submitted on 1 March.
Project watchers said the market is rife with talk that the operator is about to finalise a short-list for this lease-and-operate contract, with Modec and SBM Offshore thought to be the lead contenders, although there are suggestions that Yinson could also make the grade.
