Two contractors have emerged as the leading contenders in a race to supply a major floating production, storage and offloading vessel for Aker Energy’s Greater Pecan project off Ghana.
Netherlands-based SBM Offshore and Malaysia’s Yinson are understood to be facing off for the contract.
Industry sources said the operator could decide on its preferred bidder by the end of June at the earliest.
