The purchase of Portlethen-based PSV Solutions will enable Aker to provide a modern fabrication facility near Aberdeen.
Rod Buchan, managing director of Aker Solutions' offshore services, said: "High quality fabrication is fundamental to successful project and contract delivery and this acquisition is a long-term benefit to our clients."
PSV Solutions was established two years ago focusing on structural fabrication, carbon and exotic steels pipework, aluminium fabrications and vessels.
